Frugal Fatigue?

Do you ever get tired of the frugal life?  I mean, sometimes it can be a bit daunting.  In order to have a 6 month emergency fund, we need to really watch the pennies.  Sometimes I just want to say oh forget it.......................but I don't want to be retired and scared to death because of lack of finances and wishing I had been more careful with the money that was entrusted with us.

Am I the only one?

  1. It's natural to get 'frugal fatigue'. I get it a few times. Best way to deal with it is to do a 'little' splurge. Treat yourself to something you wanted to do or go or eat, and then imbibe a bit. Better yet, try to do the splurge but do it for less! You'll get a double good feeling about the whole thing.
Good luck. Hang in there. Think of the end result for encouragement.
    You'll get there.

  2. No I think we all get that way sometimes. And I agree have a little splurge even it its just a donut or a crocheting needle. You will be surprised but sometimes just spending 3 dollars can make you feel better

  3. I am frugal so that I can have the little cushion for a splurge. If I just don't spend when I can stand it, one day I will have a little urge to splurge on something, and I can indulge. Then, it is all worth it.

  4. You are not the only one. I am to that point, but it's more due to stress than anything else. Some times I just want to say "oh forget it", but then when it comes down to spending the money, I just can't do it.
