I know that sounds weird but this stuff really smells good. I mixed baking soda with Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap. I didn't measure anything. Just enough to make it a bit like frosting. Maybe a tad bit more runny. Boy does it smell good. I hope it does a good job at cleaning the tub. We shall see.

I don't know about you but I feel like THE most BORING person on the planet. I'm almost 52 and really never accomplished much. I mean, I do work fulltime and have ever since I graduated college. But I've never compiled a bucket list of things I want to do and sadly if I did, I think none would be marked off. What can I say? I get up, go to work, come home, watch tv, go to bed and do the same thing the next day. Over and over. Kind of like the movie Groundhog Day. I read blogs where the blogger is in their early twenties or perhaps thirties. And wow, these folks really do some interesting things. Some of them are frugal blogs where they do these things on limited budgets and some are just lifestyle blogs where finances are NOT at the top of their list. One of the blogs makes lists of things she'd like to do for the next month. I think that's pretty neat because you feel like you accomplished something. So..........I want to implement this in my life. End of October and month of November Goals 1. Read the Bible and pray more 2. Read one new book 3. Do something fun on the weekend that does NOT involve going to a sports event. Maybe visit the zoo, or go to downtown Raleigh to look at the holiday decorations. Perhaps visit the outdoor skating rink. 4. Get prepared for the next work day the night before!! 5. See a new movie. I love movies that come out in the holiday season 6. Have some no buy days. I won't say how many because I know me and I think I will set myself up for failure. 7. Exercise 3 days a week. This will most likely be walking but who knows. Miracles do happen!!
How much do you spend on cleaning products? I'm sure that some of you extreme couponers have stockpiles of cleaning products that you spent pennies on. But how much space does that take up in your home? Plus what about the chemicals in them? Vinegar and water can be an awesome cleaner, or so I've heard. I've fallen for the theories that your home isn't clean if it doesn't "smell" clean. You know, smelling like Clorox or PineSol etc...............I have loads of half used bottles under sinks all over the place. How about you? So.........I'm going to step out on a limb and try the vinegar and water. Now for those you that don't like the vinegar odor, I am going to use essential oils to make it more pleasant to the old nose. Anyone with me? Are you willing to test drive this with me? Just think if it is as good as what I hear, all that space can be used for other more important items.

didn't leave a note, didn't stay by the car to wait for us to come back. Thank you so very much. Now maybe they don't realize they hit a car. Maybe I should give whoever it is the benefit of the doubt but you know what? Now we have to pay the bill instead of them. So I'm not a happy camper. Just this month I made a concerted effort to save more money. You see, even though I am 51, I've spent my entire adult life foolishly spending money like there is no tomorrow. Now we don't have tons of debt. About 4500 in cc and then our mortgage which is less than 40000.00 but.............we have NOTHING in savings because of me. I'm trying to break the cycle. Reading ya'lls blogs helps inspire me and now I'm going to have to go into overdrive. Pardon the pun. LOL Doesn't look bad but my dh thinks the undersiding may be damaged as well. And you know they will say the entire front bumper thingy will need to be replaced. Oh well.......................................

If so what was the straw that broke your back? If not, is it becausewe you haven't needed to or were you too concerned about what others think? I read an article where record crowds are going to food banks in the UK. I think food banks in the US are hurting as well. Cutbacks in food assistance and other areas will force more to utilize food banks i don't want to discuss politics just solutions. Also what advice do you give to someone to make their food monies stretch even more?

I am considering no spend days. Having said that, I do want to buy the Sunday News and Disturber due to the coupons but I can tie that in with grocery shopping. So..........do any of ya'll have no spend days? For me it may be like a drug addict being cut off of Oxycontin or Meth or something. LOL Take today. My doctor has told me to use an antibacterial body soap or wash due to a skin condition. I have very sensitive skin so I can't use just anything so imagine my surprise when I found I could use Dial Gold soap or wash. I prefer the body wash as I feel cleaner. I know, go figure but I do feel cleaner. So it was over a month ago I found gold Dial body wash at Target on clearance plus if you bought 4 you got a $5 gift card so I cleared out the shelf. I think I got 4 or 5 bottles. I have not found it since. I had 2 coupons that were expiring today, $1 off of 2 bottles of Dial. I found some bottles at K Mart already on sale. I bought those then I was at the Dollar Store and thought I'd swing into Lowes foods to see if they sold Dial Gold and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!! They had several bottles. I bought 2 to use my coupon so now I have a bit of a stash of Gold Dial Body Wash. So for those on no spend days............do you pass up deals on those days or take advantage of them?

I've been reading Judy's blog for a very long time now. Over this time the blog has changed names many times but I always came back when I found out she was up and running again.
